Camdeboo Adventure Biking

After your arrival in the Mother city of Cape Town, a Company representative from Camdeboo Adventure Biking will be there to meet and greet you and transfer you to the Breakwater Lodge in the Waterfront. After settling in, we will then take care of the admin and paperwork and will treat you to a sit down meal at a Restaurant of your choice before retiring for a good nights rest at the Breakwater Lodge in the V&A Waterfront.

The day will start with a full English breakfast and then we will proceed with bike orientation and let each Rider become familiar with his Motorcycle before departing on our Adventure Tour, starting with a trip up Table Mtn. After an aerial view of the Mother City, we will travel to Stellenbosch in the heart of the wine lands via Cape Point Nature Reserve and check in at the Zandberg Wine Estate. We will do wine tasting with lunch on the Jordan Private Wine Estate and we will be transported by vehicle from cellar to cellar due to our strict drinking and driving laws in the country. Dinner will be at 96 Winery Road Restaurant which has been voted as one of the top ten restaurants in South Africa right on the Zandberg Wine Estate. After dinner we will spend the night in comfortable tranquil surroundings at the Zandberg Wine Estate.

After breakfast, we will ride along the coast to Agulhas and see the most Southern Point of the African Continent where the Two Oceans meet. From here we will travel along the coast until we reach the Fishing village of Struisbaai. Depending on the season, whale watching of the Southern Wright whales that come in to breed can be seen. We will travel on to Malgas and have sundowners on the banks of the Breede River, dinner and overnight at the Malgas Hotel.

Breakfast and depart crossing over the Breede River on the Malgas Pont and be pulled across by hand and continue down the coast to Mosselbay where we will visit the Maritime Museum and also visit the oldest Post Office in the Country. Check into the Point Hotel with sundowners, dinner and overnight at the Point Hotel in Mosselbay.

After a hearty breakfast we will depart for our next destination in Oudtshoorn via the Swartberg Pass, where we will visit the Crocodile and Cheetah Ranch and you will have the opportunity to pet and have your photograph taken with a Cheetah. We will also visit the Ostrich Farm, explore the town of Oudtshoorn and have sundowners at Hlangana Lodge before dinner at a Restaurant of your choice.

We will depart for the Cango Caves after breakfast and do a guided tour through these spectacular Caverns filled with Stalagmites & Stalactites. From here we will travel to the Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve through some of the most scenic countryside of the trip.

We will check in at the Makkedaat Caves in the Baviaanskloof and ride on through spectacular passes and valleys and then return for sundowners and a barbeque of Karoo Lamb Chops and overnight at the Makkedaat Caves.

After breakfast we will then travel on through the Karoo Flats to Graaff Reinet. Upon arrival we will check in at Camdeboo Safari Lodge relax with sundowners on the Game viewing deck whilst enjoying the last rays of the setting sun. Dinner will be a Traditional roast leg of Karoo Lamb with all the vegetables, Trimmings and Desert. After dinner you may do some stargazing with our powerful telescope off the viewing deck or enjoy a complementary glass of Sherry around the Campfire to relax and warm you up before retiring for a well deserved rest in Luxurious Accommodations.

Sleep in day with a late breakfast and a Day of Rest at Camdeboo Safari Lodge where you can enjoy game walks, Read a book or relax at the pool. Barbeque Dinner and overnight at Camdeboo Safari Lodge.

Experience an early morning game ride on the motorbikes in the private game reserve followed by a full English breakfast. Saddle up and depart for the Historical Town of Graaff Reinet where we will visit the Valley of Desolation, Chocolat art Gallery, Museum and other places of interest. From here we will travel through the Town of Nieu Bethesda and visit the Owl House and on to Ganora Holiday farm. After settling in we will visit Karoo fossils in the Veld and have sundowners back at the lodge. Dinner will be a Spit Braai and we will then be treated to an informative talk on the Fossil Collection and Museum before retiring for bed.

A traditional farm breakfast to start our day is followed with a visit to the Bushman Rock Art and then a departure for the Katberg area where we will travel through some spectacular countryside and experience unbelievable vistas and scenery including the Katberg Mountain Pass. We will check into the Katberg Mtn Inn, freshen up, watch the magnificent sunsets and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the area. A delicious sit down dinner served with top South African Wines will be enjoyed before retiring for a good nights rest.

After a leisurely breakfast we continue our journey through the Grahamstown area to Kikuyu Lodge where after settling in we will depart on a Motorbike Game Drive through the private Reserve. Dinner will be scrumptious Venison dishes and then you may relax around the Camp side fire until you feel the need to crawl into bed in comfortable accommodations.

An early morning Game Drive on the Motorbikes for those interested and for the late sleepers, you may enjoy a lie in until breakfast time. We bid our farewells and then depart for Port Elizabeth where we will hand the bikes in and then proceed to the Airport for your return flight to Johannesburg or Cape Town for your International Departure.
